is_executable -- Tells whether the filename is executable
Description
bool 
is_executable ( string filename)
     Returns TRUE if the filename exists and is executable.
    
     is_executable() became available with Windows in PHP
     version 5.0.0.

if(is_executable($file)) {
    echo $file.' is executable';

    echo $file.' is not executable';

Note: This function will not work on
