Welcome to download area for water refinement scripts

In this area you will find links (look down this page) to download WaterRefinement_cns. It will ask you for a user and password and you will be allowed to download it.

The scripts run with CNS version 1.3. Although there is the possibility to run it with prior versions of CNS (1.1, 1.2, 1.21) I highly recommend installing CNS v1.3 in your computers and running with this version as it is more thouroughly tested. The xplor part is not functional and is there only for developing purposes.

The following is a excerpt of the INSTALL file that you can find in the distributed file. This file intends to explain the installation of the scripts.

Installation of WaterRefinement scripts should be strighforward and usually only requires to edit two files to meet your installation.

  1. WaterRefCNS

Look for ... if [ "$machine" = "m30 ... and change the machine name for yours, then adapt SubmitPBS, XplorCommand, CnsCommand, PDBStat, CNSENV and WATREFLIB to match the programs in your machines.
  2. cns_solve_env_sh

WaterRefinement uses Bash shell and CNS is started also using the Bash shell style. For convenience I have included a template for such a starting script. Just replace the location of CNS v1.3 in the top lines where indicated and that is all needed. Move the resulting cns_solve_env_sh to YOUR_PATH_OF_CNS_1.3/.cns_solve_env_sh
